Project restores wooden flooring and modernizes real estate decor in SP

The decoration of this 80 square meter apartment in Moema, in the south zone of São Paulo, betrayed the age of the building, which was more than 30 years old. The furniture was old, and the pieces didn't match.

To modernize the environments, architect Gabrielle Fuzinato bet on the industrial style and combined clean wooden furniture with coverings that imitate bricks and burnt cement.

The industrial touch was just one of the achievements of the project. The work also integrated the spaces of the property by knocking down the wall that separated the living room from the kitchen. Now, the two locations are only divided by a counter for quick meals. about Tile flooring in Ponte vedra

The wall shared between the rooms gained the same coating, which imitates bricks, giving an idea of continuity. For the architect, the integration of spaces was the most radical change in the project. Another highlight was the restoration of the property's original parquet floor.

Before the work, the wood was covered by a laminate. “It was a pleasant surprise to discover the original tacos. It is beautiful, elegant and combined with the project”, says Gabrielle. Restoring the floor cost BRL 60/m².

In the “L” shaped room, mirrors were placed to connect the space with the TV room. “Now the residents sit at the table seeing the rest of the room. Mirrors also give the feeling of having more space.”
